Rosamaria Capuano was born in Rome on 09/10/1982. In 2008 she received the master degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
She got her PhD on “Sensorial and Learning Systems Engineering” in June 2012 with a thesis on Respiratory Pathologies Analyzed through Volatile Compounds by both Gas Chromatographic Techniques and Olfactive Images”.
From December 2024, she is a Researcher in tenure track at the Department of Electronic Engineering of University of Rome Tor Vergata.
From January 2022 to December 2024, she was a Researcher (RTDa) at the Department of Electronic Engineering of University of Rome Tor Vergata.
From November 2011 to November 2012, she worked at the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Rome, on the U-biopred (Unbiased BIOmarkers in PREDiction of respiratory disease outcomes) European Project.
Since 2012, she has been conducting research at the Department of Electronic Engineering of University of Rome Tor Vergata. Her main research activities are focused on the design and development of chemical sensors for medical, environmental and food applications. She is member of Interdepartmental Center for Volatilomics, “A.D’Amico” (CIVAD) of University of Rome Tor Vergata.
She is a co-author in 67 papers on international journals and conferences with an H-index of 21.
